Colombian multiplex chain V.O. Cines and DMD have partnered up for a nationwide release of ‘Kincsem: Bet on Revenge’, a film about romance and horse-racing in 19th century Hungary.
‘Magnifico Tesoro’, as it will be called in Colombia, tells the story of Kinscem, the most successful thoroughbread racehorse of all time and the forbidden love that forms between it’s two owners. It’s a hugely entertaining period piece with great production value that was Hungary’s biggest grossing domestic title (almost $3 million at Hungarian box office) and now will be seen worldwide.
DMD already supplies the biggest VOD platforms in Latin America with their catalogue of quality and current world-cinema titles and this release represents an expansion into the Theatrical distribution market. With the release of their Cine del Mundo SVOD service in 2019, their titles will have even greater reach throughout the content.
