DMD TAKING RAI’S CONTENT LATIN AMERICA
Major Italian film licensor RaiCom have struck a substantial content deal with Latin American distributor DMD limited, who have bought the VOD rights to 8 of their new films, including the Italian box office hit Tutto Quello Che Voi and the highly rated Padre D’Italia. These movies will now be made available to more than 15 million two-way homes on 17 of the largest digital platforms in 18 countries across South America, including Net, Telefonica, Cablevision, VTR, ClaroVideo, Izzi and Itunes. DMD now has one of the most extensive distribution bases across the region, and one that is still growing.

DMD’s is not only growing its distribution platform, but is also sourcing content from some of the biggest independent producers and now boasts a catalogue of over 100 current movies for the region Rai is the latest in a list of major European and North American independent film licensors to choose DMD to distribute their content to the Latin American market, including Gaumont, Wildbunch, Magnolia Pictures, Nordisk Film, and Level K whose films all now feature in DMD’s Cine del Mundo offering.
Tony Kelly, chairman of DMD, said the deal represents another important step in his company’s continuing progress to become the leading distributor of world independent movies in Latin America: ‘We are delighted that Rai is the next major player to sign up its content to DMD.
