Digital Media Distribution (DMD) has signed a deal with Telefonica Colombia to distribute its current world-cinema titles, including hits such as Gintama, The Outsider, Belle and Sebastien 2, and the Whiskey Bandit, on Movistar Play to its TVOD customer base.
Telefonica is the third platform in Colombia, alongside Claro Video and iTunes, to take DMD’s content, and becomes the twentieth platform across seventeen countries in Latin America to choose DMD’s Cine del Mundo content to fulfil the latent demand among their customer base for this broader selection of current film titles.
In 2019, DMD will launch its SVOD Cine del Mundo service and it will be looking to make available on all IPTV, cable and OTT players in the region.
