SYNOPSIS
Alejandro Toledo (Fernando Colunga) returns to his thieving roots with good intentions, and although Emilio Sánchez (Miguel Varoni) can't commit to helping him, he introduces Colunga to Santiago Guzmán (Eduardo Yáñez), a thief with a talent to die for who will help him carry out the most important mission of his life. Their goal? The two must work to recover land stolen from a hard-working community by a ruthless family of bandits led by a beautiful but deadly diva. Action and comedy are unleashed as Colunga and Yáñez recruit their new team of "Robin Hoods."
CINDIE SAYS:
“Ladrones” (2015) is a lively and engaging heist comedy directed by Joe Menendez that serves as a sequel to the 2007 film “Ladrón que Roba a Ladrón”, that equally stands up on its own. The film brings back a mix of humor, action, and clever plotting, offering a fresh take on the classic heist genre. With charismatic performances and a vibrant Latin American cultural backdrop, “Ladrones” is a delightful watch for anyone looking for a blend of entertainment and comedy, while he protagonists’ mission to restore justice adds a layer of meaningful social commentary to the comedic action.
