SYNOPSIS
Will Graham left the police force three years ago when a former colleague begs him to return and help him find a killer, the Tooth Fairy operating under a full moon who has massacred two entire families. Graham doesn't use traditional techniques to track down psychopaths, but, thanks to a sixth sense, he has developed a personal - and dangerous to his mental health such as occasional meetings with Dr. Hannibal Lecktor - method that allows him to identify with the deranged and reconstruct the path that leads them to murder.
CINDIE SAYS:
"Although it wasn't a commercial success upon its initial release, Manhunter has since gained a cult following and is now regarded as a classic by film fans and critics alike.
Manhunter is a trailblazing psychological thriller that showcases Michael Mann's visionary direction, a gripping performance by William Petersen, and the first cinematic glimpse of Hannibal Lecter. Its atmospheric tension, groundbreaking use of music - such as Iron Butterfly's "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" during the climactic confrontation being particularly memorable, perfectly syncing the music with the on-screen action to heighten tension - and lasting influence on the genre make it an essential watch. Whether you're revisiting it or watching it for the first time, Manhunter remains a powerful and haunting cinematic experience."
